This is a free, fun rainy day (or scorching hot day) activity!  I'm all about using what you have around the house instead of buying more toys.

To get started, set up empty water bottles (or cups) like bowling pins.

Pull out a variety of balls or round objects, and roll away!

It's fun to experiment with which balls work the best to knock down the "bowling pins" and also what noises the bottles make when they fall over.  With older children you can take turns and keep score of who knocks over the most and experiment with different silly bowling syles/moves.  With younger ones you can just practice rolling the ball and knocking things over!
