I usually eat a pretty healthy diet, but (especially while I'm pregnant) I do allow myself to splurge now and then.  If I am going to splurge on calories I want the treat to be worth it-- and these definitely are!

If you are looking for a decadent dessert to treat your friends, family, or yourself then you need to try these!  They are an ooey gooey yummy mix of some of my very favorite things- chocolate, toffee, and delicious caramel... I don't know how it could get any better than that-- unless you top it with ice cream and chocolate sauce!  Okay, I'm adding that to my to-do list!

Inspired by this recipe from Grateful Belly

Ingredients:

35 caramels
1 stick of  butter
 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
2 heath toffee bars
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Unwrap the caramels and put them in a pot with the butter and condensed milk.
Heat over medium heat (stirring frequently) until the caramels are melted.
In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs.  Mix for about a minute on a low speed, until well combined.
Chop up the heath bars (you might need to sample  a little bit to make sure it tastes okay).
Add the heath bars and chocolate chips to the batter and mix just until it is all combined.
Spray a 13"x9" pan with cooking spray and spread half of the batter into the bottom of the pan.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove it from the oven and pour on the caramel sauce (mmmm!).
Crumble the remaining half of the batter on top.
Stick it back into the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.
It's really best to let it cool for at least 2 hours before eating it because it is super gooey when it is hot, but I don't have that much self-restraint so I have to "try it out" even though it is more like a gooey blob of yumminess than a "bar."  I don't see anything wrong with that!
