Are you looking for the perfect gift to make that is super cute, thoughtful, personalized, and of course cheap? (I am a little embarrassed at just how cheap because I love to give these as gifts but it's not the $ that counts, it's the love/thought/effort that went into the gift... at least that's how I see it and I hope my friends do too!) These photo frames make great gifts and they are pretty addicting to make too!
You will need:
- wooden photo frame (you can get these at craft stores like Michaels for as little as $1!)

- scrapbook paper
- acrylic paint (I like to use a brown tone for an antique look)
- Mod Podge
- I like to add some 3-D elements like decorative nailheads, stickers, glass tiles, wooden cut-outs... whatever you can come up with
- I also usually include a printed message like birth stats, wedding date, bible verse, or poem to make it more personalized
Start by choosing the papers for the background and trace the frame to determine what shape to cut out; attach them to the frame with Mod Podge. Then add stickers, more paper, 3-D elements... this is the fun part! Once you have everything glued on (and the glue has dried) add 1 layer of Mod Podge. Then I like to add some brown paint dry-brused around the edges to make it look old. I also paint the sides and back of the frame the same color. Then add 1 more coat of Mod Podge and your creation is complete!
