With only a few more months until baby #2 joins our family, I am trying to do a few projects to complete my son's "big boy room." As I was cleaning the closet in his new room (which unfortunately had become the ultimate catch all for all junk in our house) I came across some old license plates from members of our family. I wanted to use one for his room so I decided to turn it into coat hooks! This project is so simple it hardly needs a tutorial, but I love the way it turned out so I wanted to share the idea!
I started out with the license plate, 2 metal hooks (from Ikea) and E-6000 glue.
I put some glue on the backs of the hooks....
Stuck them on the license plate, and left it to dry.
Once it was dry I hung it on the wall.
It's extra special for my son's room because the license plate belonged to my grandfather who is my son's namesake!
Here are some more projects from the room:

This is really cute and clever!
I would love if you would post it and share it with my readers! Join the Community and share any of your creative project!

Great idea. We have moved SO many times, and I can’t just can’t bring myself to throwing away our old license plates! My hubbie is gonna love this as much as I do! So glad I found you! Newest follower!

What a neat idea! I have a few license plates from past places we have lived and I’ve been on the hunt for some thing to do with them! Thanks for the inspiration!
What a great project!
