For our letter "N" project we dyed noodles and had a lot of fun playing with them and crafting with them!
We used the noodles to practice counting and numbers (another great "N" word)...
We used a muffin pan to sort them according to their shape or color...
And then we made some artwork (with our buddy) by gluing them to a plate!
We also had fun dying the noodles!
Here's how we did it:
assorted pasta shapes
1. Put the noodles in a bag and cover them with alcohol, then add some food coloring (the more you add the more intense the colors will be), and shake it up until the food coloring is all mixed in the alcohol. (Little brother is watching that vigorous shaking)
2. Let the bags sit and soak for a while. The longer they sit, the more intense the color will be. We let ours sit for about 24 hours.
3. Spread the noodles out on paper-towels to dry.
