A few weeks ago I posted "Top 10 Spring Wreaths" and ever since then I have been trying to come up with a cute idea for my own spring wreath and I finally did it! I used my "Recycled Aluminum Flowers" and an old worn-out wreath and put it all together to create a super cute and original wreath for under $5.00!
Here is the tutorial for the Recycled Aluminum Flowers:
You will need:
flowers
wreath
burlap ribbon
scissors
stapler
wooden plaque
black and aqua acrylic paint
paint brush
high temp hot glue gun and glue sticks
chalk
I started with the wreath, burlap ribbon, scissors, and stapler.
I wrapped the burlap around the wreath once and stapled it.
Then I wrapped the burlap ribbon all the way around the wreath. When I got all the way around, I stapled the ribbon onto itself in the back so it would stay securely.
I wanted to add a little chalkboard to my wreath so I could write different messages like "Welcome," "Happy Easter," or when I host a wedding shower for a friend of mine I will write a message for the guests. I got this plain wooden plaque from Michaels...
And used acrylic paint to paint the center black with an aqua frame around it.
Then I was ready to start gluing everything to my wreath!
I started with the chalkboard and flowers, then added the leaves.
I think it looks great on my front door!

Love the colors in this wreath!!! I have a few wreaths on my craft blog too. I would love for you to follow my blog and check them out!
